In September 2024 Carlos Damas returns to Croatia. He will be soloist with the Varazdin Chamber Orchestra and will participate as a soloist at the Baroque Evenings in Varazdin Festival.
In July 2024 Carlos Damas will participate in the Euro Arts Academy, which will take place in the Polish city of Szczecin. He will teach a violin Masterclass and participate in the chamber music activity.
He will perform in a recital with works by Luis de Freitas Branco and António Fragoso. In chamber music he will be the soloist with pianist Mauro Dilema, in Ernst Chausson's concerto for violin, piano and string quartet, accompanied by the Mission Chamber Orchestra String Quartet.
The program was followed by two solo concerts in which the orchestra is not just a dry accompaniment to the soloist but has a great symphonic role. And this was confirmed in the excellent implementation and mutual cooperation. The Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in F major, Op. 20 by the French composer Édouard Lalo (1823) performed by the esteemed Portuguese artist Carlos Damas. Damas delighted with the careful and subtle tone of his precious violin by Giovanni Battista Gabrielli from 1763, but also with the precise technique and refined dynamics to which the symphony orchestra perfectly adapted, achieving a highly equal dialogue with the violin in predominantly virtuoso and strong expression, interwoven and darker tones.
One of the most famous orchestras in the world, founded in 1920, attended by artists such as Bruno Walter, Rafael Kubelik, Leopold Stokowski, Sir Malcolm Sargent, Igor Markevich, Kyril Kondrashin, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Zubin Mehta, Jean Martinon, Vaclav Neumann, Sir John Barbirolli, Igor Stravinsky and Aaron Copland. Carlos Damas will perform concertant works for violin and orchestra by E. Lalo.
Carlos Damas will be on tour through six stages of the People's Republic of China.
On July 17th 2021 Carlos Damas will give a recital in the Music Festival in the Cloisters - Eborae Música (Évora), accompanied by pianist Jill Lawson. Works by C. Franck, L. Boulanger, G. Fauré e A. Fragoso.
Carlos Damas will participate in the International Music Festival on Seashore which will take place from July 19th to 25th of the current year 2020, in Vila Praia de Âncora (Portugal). The invited violinists are Carlos Damas and the famous Italian violinist Federico Agostini.
The German company Pirastro, one of the largest violin string manufacturers in the world, renews for the 6th consecutive year its sponsorship to Carlos Damas.
In January 2020, the commemorating year of L. V. Beethoven’s birth, Carlos Damas will start recording the integral of the sonatas for violin and piano of the aforementioned composer. The first album will be released in April of the same year and will be edited by E'tcetera Records.
